222-23 November 2018 (Registration 9:15 - ) Fukui Prefecture Wakasa Wan Energy Research Center

At the meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Council for Nuclear Power in 2016, it has been decided that a new research reactor will be installed at the Monju site in the future. The new reactor is expected to be a core and fundamental facility which supports nuclear research and human resource development in Japan. Peaceful use of nuclear energy includes application of research reactors as well as nuclear power generation. The research reactors are contributing to our daily life through basic research, healthcare and industrial applications. We will hold a symposium to promote better understanding of the local residents about the research reactors. We look forward to having you join us.

This symposium will be live streamed on YouTube from
12:00 on Thursday, October 17th.

This symposium is now being streamed on YouTube.
